水库设计、建设和运行需考虑许多环境因素。大多数水库选址和运行都未考虑到环境因素即水库对地震活动的影响。实际情况表明,水库中的水体重量可能会使地下岩层产生额外的应力,由此导致各种震级的地震。水库水位的升高也可能使水库附近潜在滑动面(断层)上的地下水压力增加,从而减少了断层阻抗地震的抗滑阻力。本文对与水库运行直接有关的地震活动进行了总结,并给出了阿斯旺高坝对地震活动影响的一些资料。有些水库的资料表明,地震活动可能同水库蓄水有关,但并非所有发生在水库附近的地震都是由水库本身引起的。
Reservoir design, construction and operation need to consider many environmental factors. Most of the reservoir sites and operations did not take into account the environmental factors that the reservoir on the seismic activity. The reality shows that the weight of the body of water in a reservoir can cause additional stresses in the subterranean formation, resulting in earthquakes of all magnitude. Increasing the reservoir water level may also increase the groundwater pressure on the potential slip surface (fault) near the reservoir, thereby reducing the anti-skid resistance of the fault-impedance earthquake. This paper summarizes the seismic activities directly related to reservoir operation and gives some information on the impact of Aswan high dam on the seismic activity. Some reservoir data indicate that seismic activity may be related to reservoir water storage, but not all earthquakes that occur near the reservoir are caused by the reservoir itself.
