As we celebrate the fifth anniversary of the founding of the Iron Man magazine, as the whole country celebrates the great achievements of reform, opening up and invigoration, as well as the ambitious blueprint of the “Seventh Five-Year Plan” drawn by billions of people. Ironmaking magazine was born in the Spring of Science and Technology in China. It has been caring and cherished by leaders at all levels of factories and mines and colleagues in the ironmaking community. She grew up healthily and rapidly. Here, I would like to express my heart-felt thanks and highest respect to all levels of leaders, iron and steel experts, scholars and readers who have cared for, nurtured, loved and supported her growth. Publication published in 1982, has gone through the trial, internal
