亚太经合组织(APEC)贸易部长会议近日在上海圆满结束。这次会议虽然只有短短的6月7日、8日两天时间,但取得了一系列积极成果。大会主席、中国对外贸易经济合作部部长石广生总结说,会议进一步推动了亚太经合组织贸易投资自由化、便利化进程和加强经济技术合作活动的开展,从而为今年10月领导人非正式会议的顺利召开奠定了基础;在此次会议上,中美双方己就中国加入世贸组织的多边谈判遗留问题达成全面共识,为本月底在日内瓦举行的世贸组织中国工作组第16次会议,加快结束中国加入世贸组织的实质性谈判创造了重要条件;会议重申了亚太经合组织对多边贸易体制的坚定支持,强烈呼吁世界贸易组织在2001年启动新一轮贸易谈
