句群(或称“语段”)是一头联系着句法,一头联系着章法,在语言运用上有特殊重要性的语言单位。句群和章法的联系,表现在它同句子一样,也是构成段落的材料,并且,不少情况下,句群和篇章的最小组成部分——段落(自然段)在形式上可以完全重合。这样,讨论句群,就不能不涉及句群和段落
Sentence groups (or “phrases”) are linguistic units that are related to syntax and are linked to the chapter method and have special importance in the use of language. The connection between a sentence group and a chapter method is expressed in the same sentence as it is a material that constitutes a paragraph, and, in many cases, the smallest part of the sentence group and the chapter-paragraph (natural paragraph) can be completely coincident in form. In this way, the discussion of sentence groups cannot but involve sentence groups and paragraphs.
