在为自己的人生确立目标时,第一目标应该是优秀,成功最多只是第二目标,不妨把它当做优秀的副产品。现在的情况正好相反,人们都太看重成功,不是第一目标,几乎是唯一目标,根本不把优秀当回事。可是,没有优秀,所谓的成功一定是渺小的,非常表面的,甚至是虚假的成功。优秀,就是要让老天赋予你的各种能力得到很好的生长,智、情、德全面发展,拥有自由的头脑、丰富的心灵和高贵的灵魂,这样你就是一个在人性意义上的优秀的人,同时你也就有了享受人生主要的、高级的、幸福的能力。为什么要把优秀放在第一位,把成功放在第二位呢?
