December 12, the United States Cooper Tire and Ge Rui Rubber Co., Ltd. joint venture opening ceremony held in Qingdao. This is the second factory of Cooper in China after Cooper (Kunshan) Tire Co., Ltd. The new plant will become the main production base of Cooper Tire Corporation’s global truck and bus tire and will enrich the source of supply for all Cooper Tires. Ge Rui Da Rubber Co., Ltd. from Qingdao Yi Yuan Investment Company was established in 2014, located in Qingdao Pingdu City. In January 2016, Cooper and Qingdao Yiyuan Investment Co., Ltd. signed an agreement to acquire a 65% stake in Qingdao Ge Rui Da Rubber Co., Ltd. and transform it into a joint venture. Georgia RuiDa now has an area of 1 million square feet of production plants, all steel tires annual production capacity of up to 2 million. The joint venture will conduct all steel tire expansion, annual output
