“长度为240km,接近于上海到南京的直线距离;直径为0.14mm,比头发粗不了多少。这样的一根钢丝缠绕在机器中,不能松不能紧、不能乱不能断,还要通过几个轴承的带动,将两根6英寸长、300mm厚的单晶硅切成1500余片”。如此先进的太阳能单晶硅切割技术与设备,我国于最近由上海日进机床有限公司正式研制成功。这也填补了之前我国紧缺该项技术与设备的空白,终结了多年来我国切割硅片完全依赖进口设备的历史,对降低切割加工成本具有显著作用。
