“总统是人民的公仆” 1911年10月,辛亥革命胜利之后,孙中山被选为临时大总统。1912年1月1日晚10时,孙中山在总统府的暖阁举行宣誓就职仪式,宣布中华民国临时政府成立。典礼结束后,孙中山宴请各省代表。晚宴后,又把各省代表送下台阶。代表几次劝总统留步,孙中山仍坚持送,并说:“民国的人民是国家的主人,各位是主人的代表,总统是人民的公仆,我理应送之阶下。”
“The President is a Public servant of the people.” In October 1911, following the victory of the Revolution of 1911, Sun Yat-sen was elected provisional president. On the evening of January 1, 1912, at 10 p.m., Sun Yat-sen held an inauguration ceremony in the warm cabinet of the presidential palace and announced the establishment of the interim government of the Republic of China. After the ceremony, Sun Yat-sen hosted the provincial representatives. After the dinner, the representatives of the provinces were sent to the next level. On several occasions, the representative persuaded the president to stay in the country. Sun Yat-sen insisted on sending and said: "The people in the Republic of China are the masters of the country. You are the representatives of the masters. The president is the public servant of the people.
