The purpose of the normal maximum breathing static pressure of children is 80 ~ 120cmH_2O, similar to adults. The maximum inspiratory pressure (Pi max) and maximum expiratory pressure (Pe max) in patients with neuromuscular disease (NMD) are usually reduced. Respiratory muscle dysfunction is one of the common causes of death in NMD patients. Significant improvements in maximum respiratory pressure and inspiratory pressure were seen within 6 weeks through Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT). On this basis, we explore the long-term role of RMT in the perception of muscle strength and load in NMD patients. Methods Twenty-one patients with Duchenne’s Atrophy (DMD) or Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) were in wheelchair life. Twenty age and gender equivalents served as controls. Subjects were randomly divided into 4 groups: RMT
