In the 1990s, academics adopted a proposal to confirm maritime literature as a separate subject. The oceans, as a stage where all the literary achievements on which people can exert their spiritual power and engage in production, human material and spiritual activities, can all exist as marine literary works. Ocean literary works are literary works that take the ocean as the main body to reflect the peaceful coexistence of human beings and the oceans and explore the relationship between man and the sea.
