葛健豪(1865-1943),原名葛兰英,湖南双峰荷叶堂人,父亲葛葆吾曾在湘军任过参将,后官至盐运使、按察使,与清末中兴名臣曾国藩是至亲。16岁时,奉父母之命嫁给永丰蔡寿富之子蔡蓉峰。48岁时进入湘乡县城第一女校学习,后来又与蔡和森、蔡成熙、蔡畅及外孙女刘昂同进省城求学。1919年12月以55岁高龄不远万里用一双小脚远渡重洋求学,成为当时青年学生学习的榜样与活教材。她支持子女从事革命,
