党的十八大强调,“全党要增强紧迫感和责任感,牢牢把握加强党的执政能力建设、先进性和纯洁性建设这条主线”。创先争优是保持和发展党的先进性的内在要求,先进和优秀是马克思主义政党的本质属性和不懈追求,党的创先和争优始终是共产党人加强自身建设的重要内容,创先争优是党的性质、宗旨、使命和党的优良传统、优良作风决定的,是党的建设一项重要的经常性、常态化、长效化工作。
The 18th CPC National Congress stressed: “The entire party should enhance its sense of urgency and sense of responsibility and firmly grasp the main line of strengthening the building of the party’s ability to govern, of advanced nature and of pureness.” Creating excellence is the inherent requirement to maintain and develop the advanced nature of the party. The advanced and outstanding are the essential attributes and relentless pursuit of Marxist parties. The party’s creation and superiority are always the important contents of strengthening the self-construction of the communists. Glory is the party’s nature, purpose, mission and the party’s fine tradition, the fine style of decision is an important regular, normalized, long-term work of party building.
