In the 1920s, Owen Pannowski explored some of the key concepts of art theory in several of his representative essays. His exploration of related issues such as “artistic consciousness ” and “art history ” reflects his relationship with other important “critical art historians ”, and moreover, it reflects his inner relationship with Kant Spirit and theory. Examining Owen Panovsky from this long-term perspective helps to grasp in depth the whole context of art theory since the birth of modern aesthetics so as to accurately explore how the modern art theory has been eroded by the abstract and formalized tendencies .
