在进行中、印经济发展模式对比中最重要的问题是印度模式是否比中国模式更具借鉴意义。印度模式更强调软件基础设施建设，而软件基础设施会产生长期发展的动力，因而印度模式对中国是有借鉴意义的。如果中国改变过于注重对硬件基础设施投资的做法，而同时在软、硬件基础设施上投资，印度将很难超过中国。
In progress, the most important issue in contrasting the patterns of economic development in India is whether the Indian model is more of a reference than the Chinese model. The Indian model places more emphasis on software infrastructure and the software infrastructure generates momentum for long-term growth. Therefore, the Indian model can be of reference to China. If China changes its emphasis on investing in hardware infrastructure while investing in both hardware and software infrastructure, it will be hard for India to overtake China.
