党的十四届六中全会作出了大力加强社会主义精神文明建设的决定,着重讨论了思想道德和文化建设方面的问题。社会主义思想道德集中体现着精神文明的性质和方向,对社会政治经济的发展具有巨大的能动作用。但是,由于种种原因,社会主义思想道德建设过程中存在着许多亟待解决的矛盾,这些问题的研究和解决,对推动社会主义精神文明建设的顺利进行和社会主义市场经济体制的进一步发展是十分必要的。 在社会主义市场经济体制建立和完善过程中,思想道德建设领域存在着这样几对比较突出的矛盾。 首先,思想道德建设的紧迫性与人们思想认识上的差异性之间的矛盾。 我们正处于一个新旧体制交替的历史时期,市场经济体制的不完善,使得与之相适应的道德规范尚未建立,各方面的思潮乘虚而入。特别是改革开放后,受西方各种思想文化的影响,人们思想道德观念复杂,价值观念趋向多元化,传统的、外来的、现代的同时并存,造成社会道德规范失控,社会道德水准下降。社会风气的恶化导致人们出现了信仰危机、精神空虚的状态,社会上拜金主义、个人主义和享乐主义盛行。这种状况的
