最近,从盘石、桦甸、伊通和四平市山门支援甘肃省的数万斤紫穗槐(Amorpha fruti cosa L)种子中发现一种重要的检疫害虫,经鉴定隶叶甲总科Chrysomeloidea,豆象科Bruchidae,豆象亚科Bruchinae,三齿豆象属的窃豆象Acanthoscelides plagiatus Reiche et saulcy(吉林省新纪录;中国新纪录,1980)。目前国内己发现于北京、河北、河南、陕西、宁夏、新疆、内蒙古、辽宁及吉林。国外分布于苏联阿尔明尼亚,东地中海,小亚细亚。目前仅知为害紫穗槐种子。形态特征体小,体长仅1.8—2.5毫米,卵圆形,黑色;触角、眼,、足褐色;鞘翅大部分浅褐色,
