经过近3年的努力,波导手机在中国移动通信行业市场中后来居上,2001年超越飞利浦、松下等国际品牌,位居行业第五名(国产第一名)。从一个毫不起眼的弱势跟进者变成强势跟进者,波导品牌创建的成功并非偶然。据国家信息产业部的一项调查数据显示,截至2002年上半年,我国国产手机市场份额已经达到17.7%,预计年底可达到20%。其中波导手机上半年的销量已达250万台,占到手机市场份额的5%左右,销量稳居国产手机前列,超过爱立信、飞利浦等国外著名品牌。短短3年间,波导已经成为国产手机的第一品牌,占据中国手机市场第五位,带领国产手机开始向国际品牌发动了强有力的挑战。
After nearly 3 years of hard work, Bird Mobile has been the most successful mobile phone market in China. In 2001, it surpassed international brands such as Philips and Panasonic to rank No. 5 in the industry. It has not been a coincidence that the success of Bird’s brand has changed from a modest follower to a strong follower. According to a survey conducted by the State Ministry of Information Industry, as of the first half of 2002, China’s domestic mobile phone market share has reached 17.7% and is expected to reach 20% by the end of the year. Waveguide handset sales in the first half of this year has reached 2.5 million units, accounting for about 5% of the mobile phone market share, sales rank the top domestic mobile phones, more than Ericsson, Philips and other famous brands. In a matter of three years, Bird has become the number one brand of handset in China, taking the fifth place in China’s handset market and leading domestic handsets to start a strong challenge to international brands.
