有关毛泽东不乘飞机的原因,说法比较多的是:毛泽东曾乘坐飞机空中遭遇雷电,与地面失去联系40分钟。1956年4月25日,毛泽东提出要去广州视察。为了节省路途上的时间,他坚持广州一行要乘坐飞机——而且是由我国飞行员驾驶的飞机。4月30日,当时的空军司令员刘亚楼向驻京专机飞行团的团长胡萍下达了执行毛泽东专机的飞行任务。
