二月二十八日,本刊编辑部邀请乌鲁木齐市有关单位土壤、耕作、水利、作物栽培等方面科学技术工作者四十余人,就土壤肥力的概念及指标、新疆土壤肥力的现况、提高土壤肥力的途径及措施三个问题进行了讨论.现将与会同志的发言刊登出来,供读者参考.这次学术讨论会是在自治区土壤学会几次巩固与提高土壤肥力学术讨论会的基础上举行的,与会同志提出了一些新的见解,特加是在提高土壤肥力的途径及措施方面作了进一步地讨论,反映了不同的观点,提出了不少宝贵意见,对於促进今後的科学研究及农业生产,具有重要意义.但是,由於会议只进行了一天,与会同志发言时间有限,还有不少同志未能发言。这是深感不足的。我们希望尚未发表意见的同志，以及各地科学技术工作者都来参加讨论，把意见写给我刊发表，使这一讨论更有助于农业生产及科学研究工作。
