数字图书的问世带来了全世界出版业的深刻变革,公共图书馆为读者提供电子书服务正经历困难和挑战,电子书的下载带来了一系列技术、法律方面的问题。本文着眼于美国市场,介绍了在面对读者日益增长的阅读需求与电子书供应方屡加限制的供需矛盾下,美国道格拉斯县图书馆大胆尝试、积极探索,自主进行电子书平台构建、开辟新商业模式与服务模式的创新方案。这些实践为我国图书馆开展电子书服务提供了参考和借鉴。
The advent of digital books has brought about profound changes in the publishing industry around the world. The public libraries are experiencing difficulties and challenges in providing e-book services to their readers. The downloading of e-books has brought a series of technical and legal problems. This article focuses on the US market and introduces the Douglas County Library in the face of the growing reading needs of readers and e-book suppliers repeatedly constrained supply and demand, the United States Douglas County Library bold attempt to actively explore and independently e-book platform construction, opening up new Innovative solutions for business model and service model. These practices provide reference and reference for e-book service in our country’s library.
