近年来数字通信技术得到了空前的发展,可以预测数字技术取代模拟技术将是通信事业发展的必然结果。就目前而言,移动电话、模拟电视信号中附加的图文电视信息、数字音频广播、数字广播电视和数字高清晰度电视都显示出数字方式的突出优点。但数字信号在传输时有一个很大的问题是数据压缩,减小信息冗余度。同时压缩的结果减弱了信号的抗干扰能力,因此为了获得高质量的重构图像,错误隐藏技术显示了其强大的功能。
