为降低等离子体显示器(PDP)动态假轮廓(DFC)改善中的抖动噪声,提出了一种抖动区域宽度自适应变化并融合孤立像素点分离的随机抖动改善DFC方法。首先分析DFC干扰条纹的特性,得到符合视觉特性的DFC评测方法;然后根据DFC的严重程度计算相应的抖动区域宽度,采用融合孤立像素点分离的随机抖动方法实现未被选取的灰度级。仿真和显示实验结果表明,在DFC得到改善的同时,图像灰度级能够平滑显示,可实现抖动区域和抖动噪声的最小化;和对称抖动区域及整幅图像抖动两种方法相比,本文方法显示图像的峰值信噪比(PSNR)分别提高了1.33 dB和2.46 dB。
In order to reduce the dithering noise in the improvement of DFC of plasma display panels (PDPs), a modified DFC method based on adaptive jitter region width variation and separation of isolated pixel points is proposed. Firstly, the characteristics of DFC interference fringes are analyzed to get the DFC evaluation method which accords with the visual characteristics. Then, the width of jitter region is calculated according to the severity of DFC, and the unselected gray level is achieved by using the random jitter method of separating isolated pixel points. Simulation and display of experimental results show that, while the DFC is improved, the gray level of the image can be displayed smoothly, and the jitter region and the jitter noise can be minimized. Compared with the two methods of the symmetric jitter region and the whole image jitter, The peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of the displayed image increased by 1.33 dB and 2.46 dB, respectively.
