From now till the beginning of the next century, the old oilfields in the east of our country will remain the main areas for oil production on land. The eastern oilfields in the east of China refer to nearly 10 large and extra-large oil fields such as Daqing, Shengli, Liaohe, North China, Dagang, Jilin and Central China. Their annual production has long accounted for more than 90% of China’s total oil output.Although there is a problem of annual output decline in the old eastern oilfields, the development and application of new technologies are expected to remain relatively unchanged in the first 20 years of the next century High output.Experts believe that by the year 2000, the annual output of the eastern oil field can be stabilized at about 115 million t, still accounting for about 90% of the total output of oil in which the annual output of the three major Daqing, Shengli and Liaohe oil fields will have May be stable at 53 million t, 26.5 million t and 15.5 million t, respectively, to maintain the status of China and the world’s major oil fields; the annual output of North China, Dagang and Jilin Oil Fields will stabilize at 5 million t
