From June 14 to June 18, 1987, we went to the United States to attend the Low Temperature Engineering Conference and the International Low Temperature Materials Conference (CEC / ICMC1987) held near St.Charles in Chicago. At the conference, we wrote an essay. Before and after the meeting, we visited the United States Standard Bureau Caithersburq Lab, Air Products, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, University of California, RG Harson Associates, took 17 days. Since 1955, CEC has been jointly held with ICMC every single year and held a seminar respectively in the past two years. This time, we mainly participated in the CEC. However, we also made some comprehension about the situation of ICMC. The CEC / ICMC has 575 physicists, scientists and engineers from the United States, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, the United Kingdom, Finland, France, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, China, the Soviet Union, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland West Germany, Yugoslavia, a total of 19 countries. The conference delegates considered the meeting of special significance because the superconductivity research has made unprecedented progress in the past six months.
