1972年,日本研究成功了一种新的造型方法——真空密封造型法。这种造型方法的特点是:应用不含有水分、粘结剂和任何附加物的干砂作为型砂;造型时,采用特殊塑料薄膜密封砂型型腔面与背面,以真空减压使型砂紧实;造好的砂型仍在真空减压状态下进行浇注获得铸件。据介绍,这种造型法具有很多优点,诸如:造型和落砂时无激烈震动、无噪音、很少粉尘;型砂处理简单,旧砂可以完全回用;对模型的材质、加工无特殊要求;金属利用率高,铸件质量好等。新东公司研制的真空密封造型设备已投入生产。日本已成立了专门机构宣传、推广这项新技术。本文简要介绍这种造型法的原理、工艺过程、设备和效果,供参考。
