与青年书法家庄辉相识,是在几次省画院工作会议上。他是淮阴清河画院院长,画院虽小,给我印象却深:一九九六年他组织十余位书画家骑自行车环洪泽湖写生,历时十余天,行程千余里,亦可谓是个壮举;一九九七年他促成了名誉院长徐伯璞与台湾陈立夫先生两位世纪老人互赠书画作品,在海峡两岸传为佳话;一九九八年,他将画院书画展办到了驻沪海军513导弹护卫舰——淮阴舰上,并组织六位在部队服役过的书画家到军舰上为水兵们写字作画,介绍两用人才在地方上得到发挥的经验,在军营中产生了深刻的影响……
