合肥市辖三县一郊,人民生活由温饱型向消费型过渡,农业生产由单一追求高产,稳产向高产、优质、高效益转移。合肥市在市政府有力的支持下,在科研、院校专家的倡仪下,自80年代中期开始试验推广优质稻新品种。历经反复,近几年种植面积已接近80万亩,占水稻总面积的四分之三,生产优质稻谷七至八亿斤,创效益五至六亿元占粮食产值的五分之一,为两高一优农业,改善人民生活起到举足轻重的作用,为新品种的开发利用开辟了良好的前景。我市试验、示范推广的名、特、优新水稻常规品种
