大连理工大学金属材料科学与工程专业无损检测专业方向创建于1990年,成立了无损检测教研室(现更名为材料无损检测与评价研究室),并招收了第一届大专生。在教育部直属学校中,开创了将材料科学与工程和无损检测学科交叉的先河。2003年获准建立了“材料无损检测与评价”硕士点。目前已形成了材料超声无损表征与评价、功率超声新材料制备技术及材料无损检测原理与工程等研究方向。研究队伍包括教授1人、副教授
