The movement of the hydraulic excavator slewing platform accounts for 50 to 70% of the work cycle time, 25 to 40% of the energy consumption, and the total heat generation of the rotary hydraulic system accounts for 30 to 40%. Correct calculation and selection of various parameters of the slewing mechanism are of great importance for improving the function utilization, reducing energy loss and system heating, and improving the productivity of excavators. In order to determine the hydraulic transmission parameters of the slewing gear, the maximum rotational speed of the slewing platform, the shortest cycle time, the minimum energy loss, and the optimal relationship between the slewing speed and the transmission power should be determined at first. According to the characteristics of hydraulic transmission, this paper makes an analysis and derivation of the calculation formula of the main parameters of the hydraulic excavator swing mechanism. The movement of the platform during the rotation of the hydraulic excavator is started by adding
