Ge Jianxiong wrote an article in the 1140 “Literary Journal” that some young people think that there is no academic norms in ancient China and that they can only be imported from the West. This view is not true. On some major academic issues, there are strict norms from the pre-Qin period. The inheritance and explanation of Confucian classics and doctrines are not only well-structured and well-ordered, but any author or author of the book should not be confused with the commentators, annotators and communicators. Another example of the “Historical Records”, “Han” for scholars to comment a lot of people, but the valuable annotations, future generations of scholars are all clearly stated. Visible, China does not lack the tradition of academic norms. The question we face today is how to inherit such a tradition and establish a new standard that meets the needs of modern academic development.
