今年8月22日,是伟大的无产阶级革命家邓小平诞辰100周年。小平同志是我国改革开放的总设计师,也是中国建立经济特区的主要倡导者和决策人。本刊特于七、八月两期组织专门的纪念文章,用以缅怀小平同志的丰功伟绩,从而激励全省人民始终高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜,全面贯彻“三个代表”重要思想,在以胡锦涛同志为总书记的党中央的坚强领导下,把我省全面建设小康社会的伟大工程进一步推向前进。
August 22 this year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great proletarian revolutionary Deng Xiaoping. Comrade Xiaoping is the chief architect of China's reform and opening up policy as well as the chief advocate and decision-maker of China in establishing special economic zones. In July and August, we organized a special commemorative essay to cherish the great achievements of Comrade Xiaoping, so as to inspire the people throughout the province to hold aloft the great banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory and to implement the important thinking of the 'Three Represents, Comrade Hu Jintao, under the strong leadership of the party Central Committee under the general secretary, has further pushed forward the great project of building a well-off society in an all-round way in our province.
