张学良先生于2001年10月14日20时50分(美国夏威夷时间)病逝。中共中央总书记、国家主席江泽民在唁电中高度评价张先生为“伟大的爱国者”、“中华民族的千古功臣”。张先生是位世纪老人,经历整个20世纪风云,但“西安兵谏”后被蒋介石长期监禁,竟达半个多世纪。在漫长的囹圄生活中,他依然饱含爱国忧民深情,留下感人肺腑篇章。现再选编一文一诗,谨志缅怀之情。——编者
Mr. Zhang Xueliang died on October 14, 2001 at 20:50 (Hawaii, USA). General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and State President Jiang Zemin spoke highly of Mr. Zhang as “a great patriot” and “an eternal hero of the Chinese nation.” Mr Cheung is a century old and has experienced the entire 20th century. However, after being sentenced to “Xi’an Bing remonstration”, he was jailed for long periods by Chiang Kai-shek, reaching more than half a century. In the long coveted life, he is still full of patriotic and caring people, leaving a touching chapter. Now choose a series of poetry, to cherish the memory of love. --editor
