In order to carry out the earthquake science and technology cooperation between China and Australia, at the invitation of the Ministry of Basic Industry and Energy of Australia, a delegation of 6 experts from China Earthquake headed by Zhou Rui, deputy director of the State Seismological Bureau, From May 7 to May 7, a short visit to Australia took place. The Bureau of Mineral Resources of Australia’s Ministry of Basic Industries and Energy and the Australian Seismological Center hosted a delegation. On May 1, the delegation visited Mineral Resources Bureau and met with Secretary Roland. Dr. Dinamu, Director of Geophysics Department of Mineral Resources Bureau, introduced the organization of the council, the seismic activity in Australia and the status of earthquake research. Dr Mirkhter, director of the Australian Seismological Center, presented the work on seismic verification in Australia. Zhou Rui, head of the Chinese earthquake expert delegation, briefed the Australian scientists on the organization and functions of the State Seismological Bureau as well as the scientific research on earthquakes.
