欧洲国家的新一代防空驱护舰项目,包括西班牙的F100型、德国的F124型、法国和意大利联合研制的“地平线”级驱逐舰等,均已逐步走向实用阶段。与此同时,部分欧洲国家又发起了新一代多用途护卫舰研制计划。这之中,法国和意大利再度携手进行的“欧洲多用途护卫舰”(FREMM)项目走在了前面。2005年6月,法国国防部与法国舰艇建造局(DCN)签订了首批8艘新型护卫舰的建造合同,标志着“欧洲多用途护卫舰”项目步入了快车道。
A new generation of European air defense frigate ship projects, including Spain's F100, Germany's F124, France and Italy jointly developed the “horizon” class destroyers, etc., have gradually moved to practical stage. At the same time, some European countries have launched a new generation of multi-purpose frigate development plan. Among these, the “European multipurpose frigate” (FREMM) project, which France and Italy once again joined hands to go ahead. In June 2005, the French Ministry of Defense signed a contract with the French Naval Construction Administration (DCN) for the first batch of eight new frigates, marking the entry of the European multipurpose frigate into the fast lane.
