『军惊而坏都舍』的『都』高中语文第一册《察今》中有『军惊而坏都舍』之句。课文注释把『都』释为『都市』,把『而坏都舍』译为『象都市里房屋倒塌一样』。好些文言今译的书也是这样解释。查辞书,『都』的词义除作『都市』讲外,还有多种,其中一种是作『大』讲。如《张衡传》中说地动仪的构造是『中有都柱,傍行八道』。这个『都』就是『粗大』的意思。又《楚辞·九辩》中云:『窃悲夫蕙华之曾敷兮,纷旖旎乎都房』。这个『都』
