Negative pressure ventilation with external equipment (’iron lung’) in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome is good for oxygen supply and reduces barotrauma. The purpose of this study was to explore whether CT can explain the difference in oxygen supply between positive and negative pressure ventilation. For 6 rabbits
