Experimental art in China is a neutral and vague concept, in which conceptual extension overlaps with contemporary art and postmodern art. The essence of experimental art is anti-institutional, anti-college. The experimental art originated in Boyce’s “Expanded Art Concept” is different from Boyce’s fate of being jointly named by nine professors.
