2009年5月6日上海市政府发布新闻,国务院批复上海市《关于撤销南汇区建制将原南汇区行政区域划入浦东新区的请示》。在中国海岸线的中点,万里长江出海口的南侧,由“陆家嘴—外高桥—洋山港”所构成的逾千平方公里的三角形土地上,浦东开发开放、综合配套改革、上海“两个中心”建设等三大国家战略聚焦,金融、航运、贸易、行政管理体制等多个领域的改革先行先试政策汇聚。
