在全党开展保持共产党员先进性教育活动的今天,餐桌文化如何体现文明与先进的话题进入了我们的视野。多年以来,餐桌文化的庸俗甚至低级趣味甚嚣尘上,时下非但没有淡出的迹象, 在有些地方有的时候,反而有愈演愈烈之势,甚至还有向党政干部人群蔓延的倾向。个别党员干部一上餐桌,就不管三七二十一,什么话都敢讲,什么事也敢聊,黄段子一个又一个,越说越来劲；有些级别不低的党员干部甚至“从我做起”不足以解瘾,还像主持会议一样,号召就餐者“人人发言”,
