白山艺术学校由中共安东省委于1946年初建于安东(现辽宁丹东),先后归属中共辽南省委、辽宁省委。学校存在2年零6个月时间里,招收了三期学员,培养了400名艺术人才和文化管理干部。这是东北解放战争中中国共产党成立的第一所艺术院校,在硝烟弥漫枪林弹雨的战场上,白山艺校发动群众,鼓舞斗志,成为一支特殊的战斗力量,功不可没。他们中有不少人把鲜血洒在了辽南大地,为共和国的诞生献出了年轻的生命;更多的人经过战争的锤炼,建国后成为了共和国文艺战线上的领导和中坚。
Baishan Art School was founded by Anton CPC Central Committee in Anton in early 1946 (now Dandong, Liaoning Province) and successively belongs to CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Liaoning Provincial Party Committee. During the two years and six months of existence, the school enrolled three trainees and trained 400 art talents and cultural management cadres. This is the first art school established by the Communist Party of China in the War of Liberation in Northeast China. At the battlefield where gunpowder, fire and bullets flooded, the Baishan Arts School mobilized the masses and encouraged morale to become a special fighting force. Many of them sprinkled their blood on the vast land of southern Liaoning, giving their lives to the birth of the Republic. More people were tempered by the war and became the leading and backbone of the Republican literary and art front after the founding of the People’s Republic.
