很长时间以来,在高中英语教学中,教师往往把主要精力集中在语言知识的传授上,而忽略了文化背景知识对语言的重要作用。语言是文化的一部分,语言的教学不能独立于文化知识传授之外。在英语教学中,有意识地向学生灌输英美文化背景知识能全面提高学生的素质,收到事半功倍的效果。本文从英语教学与学生文化意识培养的关系入手,阐述了在英语教学中加强学生文化意识培养的必要性及途径。
For a long time, in high school English teaching, teachers tend to focus mainly on the impartation of language knowledge, while ignoring the important role of cultural background knowledge on language. Language is part of culture, and language teaching can not be independent of cultural knowledge. In English teaching, consciously instilling in English and American cultural background knowledge to students can improve the overall quality of students, with a multiplier effect. This article starts with the relationship between English teaching and the cultivation of students ’cultural awareness, and elaborates on the necessity and ways to enhance students’ cultural awareness in English teaching.
