Shanghai Industrial Sewing Machine Factory is a professional state-owned large-scale enterprise that is the first to produce “Shanggong” brand industrial sewing machines in China. Shanghai is the largest exporter of industrial sewing machines. The GC15-1 high-speed sewing machine produced by this plant has reached the level of similar machines of Japan Heavy Machinery and won the National Silver Award in 1990. Since 1965, the plant has produced more than 30 types of 1.5 million industrial sewing machines, accounting for about 20% of the total industrial sewing machines in the country. In 1987, the localized “Shanggong” brand GC15 series high-speed sewing machine and other types of industrial sewing machines began to enter the international market. So far, they have exported more than 70,000 units and earned foreign exchange.
