随着奶牛业的发展,种植青贮作物面积相应扩大。我场每年需要种植青贮玉米2万余亩,占播种面积的10%。每年需要从辽宁省调进青贮玉米种子“白鹤”10～12万斤,需费用4万多元。为了解决青贮玉米种子问题,1983年我们利用杂交玉米进行青贮试验和生产示范,效果很好,1984年大面职推广。据调查,嫩单3号玉米亩产青贮5840斤(其中原粮420斤),比辽宁青贮玉米“白鹤”亩产5220斤增产12%,实现了粮草兼收,突破历史上亩产4000斤的最高纪录。
