Star apricot is the main variety in Hetian area. It is a fine variety selected jointly by horticultural institute of Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Pishan Forestry Bureau. It was registered in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Species Registration Committee in December 2002. The average fruit weight 53.00 grams, the maximum fruit weight 73.00 grams;
