上海是中国最早拥有电话的城市,清光绪七年(1881年),丹麦大北电报公司在上海公共租界埋电线杆,装设电话25家。光绪八年,大北电报公司又在外滩创设第一家电话局。
Shanghai is the earliest city in China to have a telephone. During the seven years of Emperor Guangxu (1881), Dabei Telegraph Company in Denmark installed telephone poles in Shanghai’s public settlements and installed 25 telephones. Eight years Guangxu, Dabei Telegraph Company set up the first telephone office in the Bund.
