Two years ago, the Hungarian conductor Ivan Fischer directed him and the director’s “Don Giovanni” brought New York. At that time, there were no sets of props. A white-dressed actor put his body in each. Kind of scene, this is both abstract and realistic, extraordinary performance, highly acclaimed. This year, the “Mostly Mozart Festival” once again invites the Budapest Festive Orchestra he founded with him to perform another “Marriage of Figaro”, the classic opera of Mozart and Da Ponte. On the face of it, this “Figaro” does not seem to be the same as “Don Giovanni.”
