The importance of handling and transporting powdered particles in power plants is on the rise. One of the reasons is the emergence of systems that use limestone and sorbent to control pollution and boilers. Another reason is that the use of particulate fuels such as refuse fuels, sawdust, waste wood and pulverized coal is becoming more widespread. At present, the design of powder particle delivery system relies mainly on the curve fitting method or on the single-phase flow value.
