1939年秋天,我随抗日军政大学总校来到了晋察冀边区。王平、苏振华(解放后均为上将)决定让我参加冲锋剧社工作,于是我成了一名八路军文艺战士。我们冲锋剧社活跃在太行山区,走到哪里就住老乡家里,老乡和八路军亲如一家。大娘、大爷们特别喜欢小八路,把我们当子女一样看待,情愿自己饿肚子,也要省下粮食给子弟兵吃。
In the autumn of 1939, I came to the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei border area with the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University General School. Wang Ping and Su Zhenhua (both post-liberation generals) decided to let me participate in the work of the charge drama club, so I became an Eighth Route Army literary warrior. Our charge theater is active in the Taihang Mountains, where to live fellow home, fellow and Eighth Route Army as a family. Aunt, ladies especially like the Little Eight, treat us as their children, prefer to own hungry, but also to save food to the younger brother to eat.
