呕与哕是两种迥然有别的疾患,临证亦不难区分。可是,在高等医药院校五版《中医诊断学》(1984年11月第1版,上海科技版)“闻诊”一节中,却对“呕吐”释云:“呕吐有呕,干呕、吐三种不同情况。……干呕指有声无物,又称‘哕’。”在下条呃逆中亦云:“呃逆,唐以前称‘哕’,因其呃呃连声,后世称之呃逆。”在此以一哕而兼命两病,使后学者扑朔迷离,惑而不解。鉴此,笔者不揣愚陋,根据先哲之见与临证所悟,略陈管见:
Both vomiting and phlegm are two kinds of very different diseases. It is not difficult to distinguish between clinical symptoms. In this case, the two diseases are combined in a single battle, leaving the back-students confused and puzzled.
