The TH7885M from Thomson France is a new CCD area array imager for spectroscopy applications. Its pixels are 1024 × 256 (19 × 19 μm) with an imaging area of 19.45 × 4.86 mm. Dark current can reach 0.3 electron / pixel / second at -40 ℃. This device contains a low noise output amplifier with a dynamic range of up to 16 bits. The company claims that the device can be extended to the ultraviolet spectral range of 400 ~ 1100nm spectral range UV coating or subtraction technology.
